Paladin Data Systems announces Mason City, Iowa as newest SMARTGov customer
SMARTGov welcomes its first customer in the state of Iowa
Paladin Data Systems Corporation announced Mason City, Iowa today as its newest customer for SMARTGov, Paladin’s community development software that manages the full lifecycle of any permit, inspection, license, or code enforcement action for jurisdictions. Mason City is the first SMARTGov client in the state of Iowa.
Mason City represents yet another former Black Bear PTWin customer to convert to SMARTGov. Paladin will implement its cloud based technology at Mason City to track all aspects of zoning and codes including permit issuance, inspections, code enforcement, and a public portal for self-service public access.
“We are thrilled to win the business of Mason City, Iowa. This is a great fit for SMARTGov for a number of reasons. First, since Paladin purchased the PTWin32 source code, we will be able to migrate the City’s entire legacy permitting data at no cost. Additionally, our cloud based hosting services offer significant costs savings over the life of the product which is a real win for the City. This is our first customer in Iowa and we look forward to growing our presence here,” said Jon Byrd, a Paladin Sales Executive.
Located in north central Iowa, Mason City is the center of activity between Minneapolis and Des Moines. With a population of just over 28,000 it is the county seat of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa.
SMARTGov is a Web-based, software application developed by Paladin Data Systems to support community development functions including permitting, planning, inspections, code enforcement, licenses, fees, parcels, contractors and many others. SMARTGov is customizable, flexible, and interactive. It alerts you of problems, manages workflow, and prioritizes your projects. It can run on your servers or in the cloud as a service, and gives both your citizens and staff access to project data on the web 24/7.
