Project Name:

Paladin Health Data Repository Application

Project Dates:

2002 - Ongoing

Project Description:

The Paladin Health Data Repository is a standalone data repository that provides a clear insight into the who, what, where, when, how and why of health care service utilization on behalf of a defined population.  The product allows diverse organizations that have access to health care transactions, the ability to submit a simple standard data extract from their system to a central repository under tight ownership and access controls.  Once submitted, utilization information can be deployed by a client to any set of other entities they choose based on a chain of trust agreement.  This information can be accessed over browsers in diverse locations through a virtual private network.   The information is accessible online in the form of standards utilization reports based on a flexible set of user defined parameters. User can also create pre-packaged sets of data based on their own parameters in text and Excel files for more focused analysis if the standard reports do not provide a complete answer.  In addition to comparison of utilization categories within the enterprise and across entities, there is also the opportunity for any client to participate in a benchmarking effort across enterprises.  Since the aggregation of information is based on the central application algorithms, the client can be assured that all benchmark comparisons are “apples to apples and oranges to oranges”.
