History
The Paladin is the white knight or Arthurian legend who comes to your rescue in time of need. In 1994, four aerospace workers created Paladin Data Systems with this concept in mind. When the cold war ended, it proved to be the perfect time to start up a company to provide first class information management consulting. Despite planning to be a "boutique" consulting organization, within the first year Paladin had contracts with IBM, Starbuck's Coffee, MetLife, and RCI - growing by over 400%. Paladin continued to grow, opening offices in Seattle, Spokane, Salt Lake City, Denver and Orlando. Paladin was selected by INC magazine in 1999 as the 59th fastest growing company nationally, and in multiple years as one of the fastest growing companies in Washington State. Paladin has also ranked multiple years on the Best Companies to Work For list by Washington CEO Magazine, and Microsoft Professional Magazine. Paladin is one of the few information technology companies that successfully navigated the busting of the "Internet Boom", and came out the other side stronger.
In 2002, Paladin spun off another company named "InterLocking Software," in order to sell Paladin software solutions directly to government customers. In 2007, Paladin purchased the InterLocking Software Corporation, and made its permit tracking, licensing, and related products part of the core Paladin business. In 2003, Paladin began its own research and development program, which resulted in EKO-System, the environmental information management system. EKO-System has been piloted by many habitat management organizations, and was selected in 2006 as the core for the Washington State Depart of Fish and Wildlife's Habitat Work Schedule (HWS) system which is deployed statewide. Paladin also has a major Department of Defense focus, supporting multiple programs for multiple agencies. Paladin supports its customers from our own hosting and development center in Washington State. Paladin is proud to be an employee owned corporation, which has never outsourced work overseas.
