Paladin Data Systems Corporation’s Software Quality Assurance plan is designed to ensure that the software Paladin develops maintains a high levels of performance and satisfies our customers’ objectives. It incorporates a sound development plan, proactive risk management, comprehensive configuration management, regular communication with the customer and team members, and a skilled development team to produce a quality product.
To promote a structured strategy of process improvement, Paladin incorporates industry best practices including, the Agile methodology with Sprint and Scrum techniques. By capitalizing on Navy standards and DONCIO directives for software development and deployment, Paladin’s successful approach is designed to reduce risk and utilize processes that are reviewed, analyzed, documented and repeated.
By using the Agile methodology, Paladin is able to define processes the team uses to monitor and assess the quality of the software products and development. The Agile methodology uses iterative development and provides the framework necessary to ensure a consistent approach to quality assurance throughout the project life cycle. The result is continuous quality improvement.
Paladin applies industry standards to development projects including Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model Integration (SEI-CMMI), AS9100 and ISO9001. Paladin currently employes three Lean Six Sigma Green Belt individuals who lead these efforts.
Paladin reviews the Quality Management processes of each Teaming Partner to ensure they meet the overall requirements of each contract. We flow down our quality standards in all teaming arrangements.
Our software design methodologies and effective teamwork are key to delivering high quality software to our customers on time and on budget. As a result, Paladin’s software development processes were recognized by the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) with a Top 5 Department of Defense (DoD) Program Award.
